• Departure from Tulcea harbor at 10:00 AM – return at 17:30. 
• Explore the most important wetland of Europe – the Danube Delta onboard a slow boat
• Guided by a specialist – English speaking (other languages on request). 
• Large numbers of pelicans, herons, Pygmy Cormorant and Glossy Ibis are possible. 
• Traditional fish meal – optional at a local fisherman. 
• The boat is equipped with shade and toilet.

On this day tour in the Danube Delta, we will try to show you as much as possible by exploring the north-western part of the reserve at a slow pace. Our boats move slow and quiet along channels and lakes in search of rare birds and other wildlife. We stop numerous times for you to have time to enjoy the great nature. Our guides are trained to recognize and point all the species of birds that fly around. There is also the possibility to take pictures if you have the right equipment.

The boats have a flat deck and are partially covered with a sunroof, they are very stable and allow you to move around. The full-on toilet is a must as this journey takes 7 to 8 hours to complete.

At midday, we will stop for optional lunch and a leg stretch on a small island at a fisherman’s hut. Traditional fish soup and fried fish can be ordered as an option. The price will be announced by the guide but it is usually 11 EUR/person.

After lunch we will return to Tulcea where we will arrive around 17:30.

The Departure is from Tulcea harbor – Ibis mooring spot inside Tulco yard at 10:00 AM. Please try to arrive 10-15 minutes  early.
